Traveling Shoes
Another sweet part of summer is feeling the freedom of flip flops and summer sandals. Try this sweet variation on summer shoes and see where the spirit takes you!
Ingredients:
- Oval-shaped cookies (hint – if you can’t find oval cookies, make your own with pre-made cookie dough, flattening sections out to oval shapes)
- Icing in desired colors
- Rope licorice or chocolate chips
Directions:
Spread cookies with icing. Cut licorice into small sections (about 1 3⁄4 inches) on an angle. Press licorice strips into icing with points meeting at middle of one end (see picture). You can line up chocolate chips as sandal straps if preferred.
