CHOCOLATE PRETZEL SWORDS
“Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.” ~Ephesians 6:16-17
Once you’ve had a chance to make your nature sticks even more beautiful, it’s time to make these pretzel sticks even more delicious! Make sure a parent or caregiver helps you heat up the chocolate!
Ingredients
- pretzel rods
- chocolate to melt
- large sized marshmallows
- sprinkles
- parchment paper or non-stick mat
Directions:
Set up your workspace with parchment paper or a non-stick mat. Melt chocolate in the microwave, in 30 second increments, or in a large jar placed inside a crock pot filled with water. While chocolate is melting, put the marshmallows on the ends of the pretzel rods. Once chocolate is fully melted, drizzle it across pretzel rods (or carefully dip) and then cover with sprinkles before chocolate hardens. Feel free to use any small candies you have to make jewels to decorate your swords. Transfer your pretzels to the refrigerator for 20-30 minutes to let chocolate harden. If you have leftover chocolate, feel free to dip fruit like strawberries or bananas into it to use up the rest of your chocolate!
