35th Annual Downingtown Crop Hunger Walk

2021 CROP Hunger Walk

35th Annual Downingtown CROP Hunger Walk
Sunday, October 3rd at 1:00pm

Church World Service (CWS), with assistance from the Downingtown Area Ministerium, is bringing back the annual food drive with an in-person event for the Fall of 2021. Join Christians from a myriad of churches in the central region of Chester County for this global and local effort to help combat food insecurity in our world.

The walk is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on October 3rd; moreover, it will once again begin in the parking lot of Central Presbyterian Church, located at 100 West Uwchlan Avenue, Downingtown, PA. Walkers will join forces and utilize the Struble Trail for this year’s designated route. 75% of the total proceeds go toward CWS’s international mission, and 25% of the total donations are divided among the following local food-relief agencies in Chester County, PA: 1) Lord’s Pantry of Downingtown; 2) CYWA Coatesville; 3) Honey Brook Food Pantry; 4) People’s Pantry at Church Road; and 5) Chester County Food Bank.

To register as part of St. James’ team—whose goal this Fall is to field twenty participants and raise $1,000—go to the following link: events@crophungerwalk.org, or call the Church Office at (610) 269-1774.
